③ The specific review process according to the first review decision is as follows:

  • If the decision is 'Accept': Notify the author of the 'Accept' decision and confirm the publication.
  • If the decision is 'Accept with revisions': Notify the author of the 'Accept with revisions' decision and communicate the suggested revisions from the review results. The author can submit the revised manuscript and a response to the revisions. If the revisions are sufficient, confirm the publication. If the revisions are insufficient, the editorial board may request further revisions.
  • If the decision is 'Revise and resubmit': Notify the author of the 'Revise and resubmit' decision and communicate the suggested revisions from the review results. The author can submit the revised manuscript and a response to the revisions. If the revised manuscript is submitted, request a re-evaluation by the first reviewers. ④ In cases where the first review decision includes a 'Reject' decision by one of the three reviewers and the overall decision is 'Revise and resubmit' (indicated by * in the decision table), the revised manuscript is sent to the reviewer who initially decided 'Reject' to inquire if they are willing to re-evaluate it. If the reviewer declines, a new reviewer is assigned from the editorial board. The re-evaluation will result in either 'Accept' or 'Reject'. If two or more re-evaluators decide 'Accept', the publication is confirmed.
